MASL2 Playoffs Come to the Midwest: Omaha to Host National Semifinals & Championship at Baxter Arena

OMAHA, Neb. — The stage is set for one of the biggest weekends in professional arena soccer, as the MASL2 Playoffs arrive in the Midwest with a unique split-host format across Des Moines and Omaha.

Due to venue availability, the opening round will take place Friday, April 17 at SIG Sportsplex, before the action shifts to Baxter Arena on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 for the national semifinals and championship.

This year’s playoff field features six of the top teams across the United States and Mexico, including:

No. 1 Harrisburg Heat (Harrisburg, PA)
No. 2 Iowa Demon Hawks (Des Moines, IA)
No. 3 Mexico City (Mexico City, MEX)
No. 4 OKC Certified Lions (Oklahoma City, OK)
No. 5 Krajisnik FC (Utica, NY)
No. 6 Omaha Kings FC

A Weekend Built for Fans

While Omaha enters the playoffs as the No. 6 seed and will open play on Friday in Des Moines, the focus of the weekend extends far beyond a single team’s path.

Omaha will serve as the host site for the final two days of competition, bringing elite-level arena soccer and a championship atmosphere to Baxter Arena.

Fans can expect:
— Two high-stakes semifinal matches on Saturday
— The MASL2 National Championship on Sunday
— Top-tier talent from across the United States and Mexico
— A fast-paced, high-energy indoor soccer experience

“This weekend is about more than just one team—it’s about bringing a national event to Omaha and showcasing the level of talent and excitement that arena soccer has to offer,” said Emmanuel Viel, head coach and co-owner of the Omaha Kings FC.
