Omaha Kings Joins TST Preparations with High-Profile Scrimmage in Des Moines
Kings Face 2023 TST Champions Newtown Pride FC Ahead of $1 Million Tournament
(Omaha, NE) — The Omaha Kings FC are set to clash with some of the nation’s top soccer talent this weekend in a scrimmage designed to help sharpen elite rosters preparing for The Soccer Tournament (TST) — a globally recognized, $1 million, winner-take-all competition kicking off June 4.
On Sunday, May 25 at 6PM, the Kings will face Newtown Pride FC, 2023 TST Champions and 2024 semifinalists, at Spring Creek Sports Complex in Altoona, Iowa. The matchup is part of a high-level training camp hosted by the Iowa Demon Hawks, featuring scrimmages among nationally respected clubs including Austin Rise FC and Spice City FC.
TST has quickly earned a reputation as one of the most exciting tournaments in global soccer — where professional clubs, legends, and top amateurs compete in a fast-paced format with $1 million on the line for the last team standing.
“We’re honored to be part of the preparation for such an elite competition,” said Omaha Kings Head Coach Emmanuel Viel. “Our players rise to the level of the moment, and this is the kind of stage where sharp execution, team chemistry, and mental toughness matter. It’s exactly where we want to be.”
